Becoming a helping professional is a journey. My journey began as a print maker and studio artist, committed to self-expression, creativity and personal growth based on the work of Carl Jung. I happened to meet an Art Therapist and the connections between creativity, supporting others in their personal growth and healing came together for me in an "aha" moment. Twenty years down the road, I continue to be curious about the many ways we gather knowledge and resources to face and even transform life's challenges and traumas with skill and grace. This curiosity has led me to train in modalities as diverse as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which is very structured and prescriptive, to Somatic Experiencing which is much more client directed. I offer my skills and expertise to each client in a collaborative approach to manifest their particular healing and growth.
I incorporate elements from Art Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Yoga in my practice.
