Alice is great at what she does! She helped me lose weight, without having to give up the things I love to eat, and her approach gives me the freedom and flexibility of making my own choices. She created a simple structure for my meals and snacks to fit my weight loss goal, and she gave me a better understanding of nutrition balancing and intermittent fasting that is so easy and works really well. I’m actually enjoying this and totally satisfied by the food I’m eating. It’s not like being on a diet. It is simply a bit of a change in the way I was eating, and a new focus on knowing what feels best to me. What I so appreciate is how Alice helped me apply the things I already knew to do, in a way that feels really good to me. She helped me recognize my unconscious patterns that lead to unhealthy choices or overeating. And now I have the awareness, tips and tools to catch these tendencies and avoid eating things that I wish I hadn’t afterwards. She also helped me in similar ways with being active. Before I worked with Alice, I was in a quarantine rut. I spent my days and nights eating comfort food and couldn't get motivated to exercise. About me

For 15 years, I’ve been empowering women in an intuitive approach to the way they eat, drink, exercise and take care of themselves. The result is confidence, freedom, flexibility and control to make optimal choices every day that feels so good, easy and natural, you become your own long-term health, fitness or weight loss success story.

My motto to this way of living is “choose what feels good (mentally, physically & emotionally), rather than to be good”. When you are aware of what does and doesn’t (or won’t) feel good… When you have basic simple 101 nutrition and fitness knowledge to be self-informed… And when you have strategies that work for your own dysfunctional patterns… You will transform your relationship with food, fitness, your body and yourself and love how it feels.

What transformed my practice years ago, was working through the deeper issues of emotional eating with clients and realizing these issues showed up in drinking, exercising and self-care. Emotional eating is a catch-all phrase, and at the root are unconscious beliefs and old traumas. I help you get to the root and resolve any unconscious reactions, whether it’s emotional or not, or whether it’s related to food, a certain type of beverage, exercising, self-care or stress. Then you have the tools, and you are empowered in any situation to recognize and choose what is really best for you.

The greatest gift is to feel great every day, and living a healthy lifestyle that comes naturally and easily to you.

My Philosophy of Care

I discovered how to create a healthy lifestyle for myself, after years of yo-yo dieting, avoiding exercise, and not taking good care of myself during a stressful high-tech career. I struggled with my weight, had severe digestive issues and back pain, and suffered for years from an auto-immune illness. I finally heard the wake-up call my body was trying to send me, and I vowed to start exercising, eating well and to change my lifestyle.

That was 17 years ago, when I embarked on a journey of my own making. I didn’t want to go to the gym, go on another diet, or get a bootcamp instructor. No thanks. I wanted to honor my body, my choices, my inner guidance, my way. In the process, I discovered a beautiful, self-loving, transformative approach to having a healthy lifestyle that’s intuitive, natural, enjoyable and sustainable. I then got the certifications to back it up, so I could share this unique approach with other women.

I have never stopped exercising, eating well, drinking less or taking really good care of myself, and many of my clients can say the same thing. It just feels too good to stop. And I love having the confidence it gives me and the ability to easily maintain my weight loss.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Many tell me that they feel heard, understood, and optimistic in their first session with me. Most women come to me frustrated and concerned, having tried many other programs, and they leave our session with insights, ah-has, and a feeling that this approach will really work for them. They are always happy to know they won’t have to give up their favorite foods or beverages (unless toxic to them), or have to do specific types of exercise they don’t like. They also leave with a process that starts to shift their choices easily and immediately, so they feel successful from the start.

During that first session, I’m listening for what hasn’t worked before, what are the patterns, what would honor you better, and what approaches will best support you. This program isn’t a one-size fits all. It isn’t a prescribed plan. There aren’t hard and fixed rules. This is the beauty of coaching. While I know the destination and how to guide you, you will make your own choices, based on what feels best and is best for your own body. And you will be given everything you need to make the optimal well-being choices to reach your goals, that will honor your body, needs, preferences and lifestyle.

My Inspiration

Many confuse health, fitness or wellness coaching with getting a coach to help them be good, to show up, and comply with healthy eating or exercise recommendations or specified guidelines. Compliance to any program puts the cart before the horse, and often can’t be sustained when the program ends.

Intuitive healthy lifestyle coaching builds the program around what intuitively works for you, that you can do every day or each week. It is created jointly with you to determine what’s the healthiest way for you to eat, drink (if that’s an issue), be active, get fit, and improve your well-being.

It doesn’t require perfection, being good or logging every action you take. It honors what naturally works for you, as you discover how much better and good it feels to make healthier choices you easily gravitate to the more you experience them on your own terms. You work with yourself, not against yourself, to stick with the healthier choices, and that feels easier, more enjoyable and natural that you don’t need to be accountable to someone else. Instead, this type of coaching is focused on helping you enjoy the foods and beverages you love in a healthy way and be active and healthy that’s self-motivating and feels really good.
