I’m a Veteran and an EMDR Trauma Therapist who serves the Military, First Responders and Civilians who have experienced child/adult trauma.
I served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. During my time as a First Sergeant I realized my passion for helping and serving others. I’m a veteran and a veteran’s wife therefore I know the struggles of service members first hand. I have a passion for helping our military, first responders and civilians who has experienced deep and painful trauma.
I want to help others break out of and get free from the pain they experience due to childhood and adult trauma. People believe they have to live with these heinous past experiences, to just “deal with it” “forget about it” or “push it down.” This is not the case. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor because I know I can help.
At first clients are nervous and rightly so - you don’t know me and I’m asking you to share your history, trauma and feelings. After a bit, clients begin to feel at ease, we laugh and clients realize they are free to be authentic in my office no matter what that looks like.
Many people consider counseling to be a luxury and I could not disagree more. We live in a world where our physical health is taken seriously but our mental health is ignored. There is a direct link between physical and mental health. Counseling can change your life! Try it!
