Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga
Enhance health, healing, and well-being.
Allison has had an interest in service and helping others since she decided to join the U.S. Air Force in 2005. Allison served 7 years Active Duty, to include 4 deployments, before choosing to become a Yoga Therapist full time (and a part time Reservist!). Allison made this jump because she has experienced first hand how the principles of yoga can reduce stress, improve clarity and provide balance in the stressful world we live in today. She has seen yoga improve the lives of seniors (her 83 year old Grandma especially!), active duty military members, moms, dads, trauma survivors, and more...the bottom line is that she believes yoga can bring health and wellness to anyone and everyone.
Allison has a B.S in Biology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She completed her initial 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training with Camyoga while living overseas in Cambridge, United Kingdom. She expanded her yoga studies focusing on orthopedics, Chinese Medicine, and myofascial release with the Yoga Medicine teacher training program under internationally renowned teacher, Tiffany Cruikshank. Allison became certified as an Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga under the guidance of Joseph and Lilian LePage and Maria Mendola of Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT). She continues her training with IYT as she pursues her Professional Yoga Therapist certification. Finally, Allison is an iRest Level II teacher in training, studying under James Reeves and Dr. Richard Miller.
