Her passion is:
Assisting mid-life individuals who want to supplement their existing fitness regime
Introducing gentle yoga to older adults who have not been active in the past
Providing older adults with basic guidelines about the potential physical and mental benefits of yoga for their health profile or to assist in daily activities
Providing warm water yoga therapy as a safe way to lessen the effects of arthritis and to provide a safe and effective way to increase range of motion, mobility, and balance
Amanda began yoga in mid-life as a way to heal injuries she sustained in other fitness activities. Amanda quickly learned the restorative power of stretching, practicing mindfulness and conscious breath control. Her passion is to share with others the amazing healing and transformative nature of yoga, particularly for cognitive function and ease and comfort as we age. Rather than a supplement to fitness, yoga has become a lifestyle and journey for her now.
"I slept amazingly well last night!"
"I am so relaxed"
"The breathing tools you taught me help so much"
It's life changing. Sure you'll improve your balance, flexibility and strength. You might even lose weight. But, the real power of yoga is connecting to breath and self-awareness. With that comes peace.
