Gentle and professional care for women of all ages. Calm, knowledgeable guidance during labor and birth in a honey atmosphere. Supportive of family members and second birth support. Certainly worth checking out for the birth of your baby and for your women's health care. The center also offers the option of water birth.
Having my baby here was the best decision I could have made. All of the midwives are absolutely fantastic and are very attentive and compassionate. While going to my prenatal appointments I never felt rushed, they answered all my questions, and it felt like they actually took the time to get to know me. My birth went about as perfectly as it could. Being able to relax in the giant tub made my labor so much easier. The midwives were there for me every step of the way and helped to create an amazing and positive atmosphere for me to deliver my baby girl in. After labor, they took such good care of us. They made sure that both my fiance and I were fed and even went out of their way to make my recovery meal extra special. We were able to go home and sleep in our own bed within 6 hours of giving birth. The in-home visits after were such a blessing as we definitely didn't feel ready to leave the house yet. If I ever have another baby, I'll definitely be giving birth here again.
Our son came a month early, so we unexpectedly and abruptly became one of those families whose plan to deliver at the Corvallis Birth &Women’s Health Center went askew. And you know what? It all turned out beautifully, because Susan’s attentiveness, warmth, and commitment extend well beyond the doors of the center. I was 35 weeks and 6 days pregnant with our second child when my bag of waters spontaneously broke. Shortly thereafter at the center, Susan enveloped me in a huge hug—I was a tearful, leaky mess—and helped me understand that we’d be having our early baby at the hospital. She reassured me that she would be there to help us get settled and present for the birth if possible. I’ll spare you the details, but here are the highlights: Susan was there every step of the way. We showed up, ate hospital food together, talked about what we might expect with a preterm baby, cracked a few jokes, and waited and hoped for labor to begin naturally. Susan helped us to communicate clearly with hospital staff (who all adore her—she’s a legend there) about our options and preferences. As it turns out, we didn’t have to wait long for things to pick up. When labor started it was intense and quick, and I thank my lucky stars that Susan was there—not only because she was an immense comfort to me and my husband, but also because no one else was ready when our sneaky little sweetheart of a baby made his arrival. After everything, Susan was the one to catch our baby. It makes me so happy to think of it. There’s so much more—Susan, Kourtney, Rosyln, and Angie have all supported us and made us feel safe, confident, at ease, and cared for. We already miss our prenatal visits and look forward to shooting the shit with them at the next opportunity. So, do yourself a solid: if you’re pregnant or looking for a women's care provider, book yourself a date with the birth center

The most amazing people amd best birthing experience by far. Nothing rushed not one appt never had to track anyone down always attentive amd always everything safe but on my own terms. This was baby number 6 and first at birthing center wish i had done it sooner!!
Having my baby here was a fantastic experience, and having post-natal home visits was so very helpful. I, too, miss seeing seeing the midwives on a regular basis. I appreciated that they got to know me and my family, and took lots of time during appointments to chat. Actually delivering my baby at the birth center was about as pleasant as pushing 9.5 lbs of baby out of my body could be, and afterwards they cooked us tasty food, checked us a couple times, then let us sleep undisturbed! My mom said afterwards "That seems like a very humane way to have a baby." If I have a third baby I'm totally coming back here, and if I don't I will at least come for annual checkups.
Came for a basic annual exam; hadn't had one in a few years and was apprehensive. Susan spent a solid 45 minutes with me and I so appreciated the 'living room' discussion before going into the exam room, her time double checking my blood pressure when I mentioned in passing some dizziness when getting up quickly, and the fact that I got a real sheet--no paper towel sized sheet of tissue paper that doesn't cover anything!! Exam was efficient, as comfortable as can be, and I felt supported in taking care of my health and asking lots of questions. From my experience and knowledge of the center I would say that they are open and affirming and 100% supportive. It's like Call the Midwife without the hats
