"Angela helped us get our 5.5 month old to go from sleeping 45 minutes at a time all night long and not napping with having to be rocked to sleep or nursed to sleep to putting herself to sleep within 10 minutes of being put down with minimal fussing to wake up once, maybe twice per night, with one feeding and napping for 1-1.5 hours at a time. Our baby is happier and healthier because she is sleeping, and that makes it easier on everyone else. Angela was always there via text or email to answer our questions at any point that we needed her, and when we were frustrated with what was going on she was there to reassure us. We could not be more amazed at the changes that were made in just a few short weeks and are very appreciative for the help."
I can’t sing Angela’s praises enough! Hiring her as a sleep training coach was some of the best money I have every spent. It was well worth the small investment. My 7 month old daughter went from co-sleeping with my husband and I and waking us up nearly every hour with her fussing to now sleeping in her own room in her own crib and sleeping through the night! She usually sleeps an average of 12 straight hours at night and now takes 2 one to two hour naps each day. My husband and I are finally getting sleep and private time with one another. We are happier and no longer sleep deprived and our relationship is improving. Our daughter too is more well rested and generally appears happier now that she too is getting the sleep she needs. I’m not going to lie, the first two nights were tough and I would have reverted back to co-sleeping if it weren’t for Angela’s guidance and care. About me

Hi, my name is Angela Knappenberger, and I am a Certified Infant and Toddler Sleep Consultant. I am committed to helping parents assist their children and babies in developing healthy sleep habits. With my BA in Special Education and Elementary Education, I have worked with children and their families for over 12 years in a variety of settings and have always excelled when I was helping others.

I never understood the value of a good night’s sleep until it was no longer a part of my life. Like most first time moms, I did whatever I could to get my baby to sleep. This meant rocking her, nursing her, pacifying her, and tending to her during the many times she woke at night. My daughter’s poor sleeping habits became my poor sleeping habits and I was soon diagnosed with postpartum depression. I even started to resent my husband as his sleep was unaffected by our daughter’s many nightly nursing sessions. I was all but ready to accept that my child just wasn't a good sleeper, when my doctor told me about the Sleep Sense program. I quickly implemented the program, and my daughter became the sleeper I had always dreamed of! Naturally, as her sleeping habits improved, so did mine! My symptoms of postpartum depression lessened as did my resentment toward my husband. Sleep Sense not only gave my daughter the gift of sleep, but it gave me back my sanity, my marriage, and so much more!

Consistency is key! It is so simple but yet so hard all at the same time. Be sure to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. Be sure you are getting 7-9 hours of sleep per night. If you are feeling extra tired its better to go to bed earlier than it is to sleep in late. Be sure that you are sleeping in a very, very dark room. A sleep mask is preferable. White noise can be soothing and help one fall asleep. Be sure to only use your bed for sleep and intimacy.
