For well over a decade, I have been helping clients prioritize their life to reach optimal health. Yes, you heard it right, prioritizing, not dieting. Optimal health doesn’t have to mean a perfect body, perfect weight, perfect family, perfectly clean house, and so on (you get the point). Optimal health is finding a place where you feel in control; even in the midst of the chaos we call life.
I can provide the necessary support, guidance and education to help people take control of their lives and live the best life they can. My philosophy is, when you feed your body what it needs, it will perform optimally for you. I teach people to eat mindfully, rather than following diets, counting calories and measuring every morsel. Mindful eating allows you to trust your body to guide you and gives you more time to participate fully in life.
Many people like to know what is it that qualifies me to work with them. I don’t blame you, I would want to know too! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, have a Master’s degree in Community Nutrition and am a Certified Diabetes Educator. I've worked in outpatient diabetes and nutrition centers seeing clients 1:1 and teaching group classes. I am a certified insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor trainer and do contract work. I have a passion for working with people who have Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational diabetes, as well. I've been a dietitian for the past 15+ years and have had a private practice for the past 10 years.
