Angela Mari, M.S. believes in helping people harness the therapeutic value of whole foods to heal and thrive. Her work has been inspired by the need for a return to the basic principles of good health: whole food, restorative sleep, physical movement, fulfilling work, and loving relationships. These principals aren’t innovative, but the rise in chronic disease suggests that they may have been forgotten.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hood College, her patient care journey began with nearly eight years in the fields of neurodiagnostics and pharmaceutical research, where she discovered her passion for healing and science. However, she felt fundamentally disconnected from the root causes of illness and disease and decided to “drop everything” to pursue what she found to be a radically different discipline. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition & Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health and knew she’d found her tribe.
Today she applies her passion for whole foods, natural healing, and evidence-based therapies in clinical practice as well as scientific research. In 2017, she published her first two case reviews in the Journal of Human Nutrition and looks forward to many more. She is a member of the American College of Nutrition & Weston Price Foundation and strives for a lifetime of learning.
She currently works with clients at the Gainesville Holistic Health (Gainesville, VA), the Analgesic Spine Institute (Leesburg, VA) & virtually in her private practice called GoodLife Nutrition. She considers herself in general practice, but finds herself working a lot with pro-athlete nutrition, hormone support, autoimmune conditions, digestive distress, mood changes, & pain/inflammation.
