Angela knows her stuff. There are experts in every industry and she is an expert in Nutrition. She was able to give me some advice on how to be healthier. No matter if you need a little guidance or a lot, she is great and I promise she will be able to educate you. Go see her!
Angela from GoodLife Nutrition is a godsend! She is patient, understanding, and her recipes get me through the weeks meal planning. She has helped me understand nutrition on another level, but in a truly accessible way. She listens to all of my health concerns and creates individualized plans to meet my heath goals and needs. It is a huge bonus to have someone on my medical team that can accurately read my bloodwork and give me an in-depth view into my health. I would highly recommend Angela at Goodlife Nutrition!

About me

Angela Mari, M.S. believes in helping people harness the therapeutic value of whole foods to heal and thrive. Her work has been inspired by the need for a return to the basic principles of good health: whole food, restorative sleep, physical movement, fulfilling work, and loving relationships. These principals aren’t innovative, but the rise in chronic disease suggests that they may have been forgotten.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hood College, her patient care journey began with nearly eight years in the fields of neurodiagnostics and pharmaceutical research, where she discovered her passion for healing and science. However, she felt fundamentally disconnected from the root causes of illness and disease and decided to “drop everything” to pursue what she found to be a radically different discipline. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition & Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health and knew she’d found her tribe.

Today she applies her passion for whole foods, natural healing, and evidence-based therapies in clinical practice as well as scientific research. In 2017, she published her first two case reviews in the Journal of Human Nutrition and looks forward to many more. She is a member of the American College of Nutrition & Weston Price Foundation and strives for a lifetime of learning.

She currently works with clients at the Gainesville Holistic Health (Gainesville, VA), the Analgesic Spine Institute (Leesburg, VA) & virtually in her private practice called GoodLife Nutrition. She considers herself in general practice, but finds herself working a lot with pro-athlete nutrition, hormone support, autoimmune conditions, digestive distress, mood changes, & pain/inflammation.

Questions & Answers

It depends... Laparoscopic procedures may result in as little as two-week recovery times, while larger-incision procedures can extend the recovery to upwards of 8 weeks. In both cases, pre- & post-op nutrition support can greatly improve your healing journey, so reach out to your practitioner to discuss your care plan.

Hi there, Bal. In addition the the many great suggestions already posted here, I'd add to inquire about nattokinase when you speak with your personal practitioner next. Root-cause investigation & intervention will be very important, but many report improved symptom management of fibro with this supplement.

I LOVE this thread - I'm learning of some options I hadn't considered myself. For many of my clients, especially those in the early stages of their functional/holistic health journey, I start with some easy transitions like filtered instead of tap > then perhaps we talk about reverse osmosis or easy solutions like Zerowater filter & adding minerals back in with trace mineral drops or infusions > then maybe we talk about the Berkey water system & other larger-scale solutions. Some grocery-store suggestions (the tree-hugger in me cringes) include Fiji, The Mountain Valley Spring Water, Virginia Artesian, etc. And like many who posted before me, water is a beautifully sensitive medium...so affected by energy & intention. Even less-than-ideal water can be improved with loving intention.
