My hope is that through our work together you will find tools to help you carve out your path towards a healthy, happy life!
We all have a story as to how we got to where we are today. When I look back and see the seeds planted as a little girl gardening with my grandma in her yard, or helping my mom take care of my brother who lived with Cerebral Palsy, to living in East Asia and experiencing healing through yoga and herbs - I see how it is all connected; not one thing or decision brought me here but collectively fueled my passion for plants, healing through natural modalities and helping people. My most recent study has been in Traditional Chinese Medicine with acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine, but before that I studied Western herbs and in recent years have been heavily immersed in plant spirit communication and energetics, which I weave into my work now.
My philosophy is about simplicity, and my hope in working with you is to get you to a place where preventative medicine is possible, which to me means taking care of yourself through daily routines of eating well, exercise & taking herbs so that you can have less frequent illness and more balance day-to-day through balance of mind, body & spirit. I have found the best way to get there is through making small, simple changes to get you to a place of health and well-being.
I studied Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (now Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine) and received a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. My studies included Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, various bodywork methods (Tuina, Shiatsu, cupping, gua sha), nutritional therapy and Chinese translation. I have also studied Western herbalism with various teachers over the last 8 years and continue to do so. I worked at Rainbow Natural Remedies in Seattle for 6 years and now work at Sugarpill apothecary.
I specialize in pain management (acute and chronic), grief, loss, trauma, mental health concerns (stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD), digestive and LGBTQIA+ health, but I see all as I am a general practitioner.
