Angela Tsui is a California Licensed and Nationally Certified Acupuncturist, practicing acupuncture, herbal medicine and massage therapy. She received her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM).
Clinical experiences as an intern includes Community and Auricular Clinics of ACTCM, Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Clinic of California Pacific Medical Center, Haight & Ashbury Free Clinics, and Yue Yang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese & Western Medicine in Shanghai. Angela is certified in Muscle Channel Technique (MCT), upon completion of externship and training with Frank He, LAc., Q.M.E. of Sports Medicine Center in Sunnyvale, CA. She has earned her Tui Na and Shiatsu Therapy certificate for orthopedic massage with over 900 hours of training at ACTCM and has been practicing massage professionally since 2007. She has studied under the mentorship of a renowned TCM practitioner in Alameda, CA, Dr. Ai-de Men, Ph.D, L.Ac., and now practices Classical Chinese Medicine following the research and studies of Dr. Pan Xiao Chuan, Dr. TCM.
Her early years training in the healing arts began during High School when she met a Tie-Da Sifu, (literally an Iron-strike Master) He taught her the basics of martial arts and shared his skills to treat bone, tendon, ligament and muscle injuries with intense deep tissue massage and soaking of heated herbal patches. Years later, Angela often found herself visiting and caring for hospitalized family members. She realized that by furthering her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine would enable her to better serve her friends and family in need. Angela is passionate and committed in helping her patients overcome physical constraints and obstacles so that they may live to the fullest of their potential.
Angela was born in Hong Kong and raised in the US since she was 2 years old. She speaks fluent English and Cantonese, conversational Mandarin. Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, she received her Bachelors of Arts in Architecture at UC Berkeley. She has many hobbies and loves hands-on crafts; enjoys sports of all types, especially swimming, jogging, and wushu martial arts. Since taking an herbal garden internship with Peggy Schafer, you may find her in the garden during her free time.
