Over the past few years, I’ve taken on several challenges, I started a new business and am the Chief Revenue Officer, I have made a much greater effort to improve my physical fitness and I was hoping to become more conscientious of my mental health (understandably, we all have our issues). It was just about one year ago (1 year and 11 days), that I approached Anne, and asked if you could give me an introduction to Meditation – I had a few stereotypical preconceptions as to what meditation was about – most involved the thought of “clearing your mind” – which is where I had to get off the train – knowing that at least for me, this is impossible. Within the first few moments of meeting with Anne Sussman, She assured me that this widely held notion was indeed inaccurate and virtually impossible. Instead, Anne kept it very simple, instructing me to sit comfortably, focus on breathing – in and out. What I came to understand was that the longer you sit and pay attention to that simple task – the less your mind is occupied by the ongoing clutter that we all contend with. I’ve often described my brain as a blender, with thought and ideas churning at a high velocity – while I still would say that this description is on point – meditation has given me the daily opportunity to slow things down a bit and catch a breath and manage my stress in a way I was not able to do before adopting this practice. – for this, I am truly grateful.
Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you spent with my family. We feel that your meditation education and coaching has really set us up for a successful meditation practice. We are much more aware of the benefits of meditation now and feel we have the tools to continue this invaluable practice. About me

12 years ago my stress had become unmanageable. I was lost and didn't know where to turn.I had everything I thought I ever wanted but I was super anxious and felt like something big was missing but just couldn't figure out what it was. My life transformed when I began to meditate! In 2015 I heard the yearning of my Soul to become a meditation teacher so I could share what had changed my life so profoundly. Whether you are a beginner, or looking to deepen your own practice, you can work with me in numerous ways: one-on-one coaching ( either in person or virtually), small group classes, and presentations for your business. My Philosophy of Care

I was so inspired to become a meditation and mindfulness instructor when I was able to quiet the chatter in my mind and listen to the still small voice of my Soul. First I received my initial certification in 2015 and then in 2017 I returned to the McLean Meditation Institute to do an additional training "Mindfulness at Work". I partner with organizations to bring mindfulness into the workplace, changing businesses from the inside out. Through education, training and practice, corporate employees learn healthy ways to reduce stress, increase clarity, improve performance and attain overall wellness. This is a profound experience and you too can get there. I will teach you how.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Often my clients are amazed with the feelings of peace and clarity that they achieve just from one session of meditation. I often hear" I never thought I could do this but you made it so clear and relatable, I CAN meditate!!"

Hi Susan, When you say "your practice" I'm not sure what you are referring to. Is this your own personal meditation practice? or are you a practicing clinician? Would love to help answer this for you but need a bit more info. I agree with Terry Lynn Talbot's answer, it's often coming back again and again to the experience you are having through your senses that is most helpful. When you are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed it's because of where you are spending time in your thoughts and not in the present moment. I would be happy to chat with you if you like.
