As a biracial African-American Certified ADHD & Recovery Coach, my academic training at UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University and New College of California in African-American & Mixed Race Studies and Theater Arts informs my work with clients.
My creative arts background and my professional training/experience coaching adults who have ADHD, mental health and addiction challenges began after leading dual-diagnosis addiction/recovery groups at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco for over 8 years and at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. My passion for my work also stems from my personal journey learning to thrive with long-term recovery related to these same challenges for almost two decades. I've been where you are: I get it and I've got you.
I understand complex identity and that the journey to wholeness involves reintegrating all of who you are to get clarity and success in what you are meant to do on this earth.
This 2-hour session focuses on getting clarity on your strengths, challenges, goals and dreams. We may also begin to unpack any limiting beliefs and patterns that may be holding you back to understand where they stem from and how to transform them in ways that serve you. We will also explore what is bringing you to coaching and how we might work together if we both agree that working together will move you forward.
My own experience as a healer and mental health advocate was born first from my parents' professional work (my father was an African-American pediatric oncologist and sickle cell researcher; my mother was an educator) and their personal activism in social justice focused on diverse populations from underserved communities; as well as my own successful mental health journey.
