Learn More About Bob Weissberg - The Reiki Path, LLC

About me

I was first trained in Reiki in 1999, and became a Teaching Master (Usui Shiki Ryoho) in 2004. I originally offered Reiki as part of an Integrative Medicine practice in the Capital Area of New York. In addition to offering treatments, I have taught actively in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Over the past 10 years I have become increasingly interested in the Japanese origins of Reiki, to the point of taking additional training at the Shinpiden level of Usui Reiki Ryoho, with Frans Stiene-sensei. I continue to deepen my personal and teaching practice in this lineage. I take great pleasure in offering Reiki healing and teaching, which supports and enhances Healing at all levels, wherever it is possible, for the highest good. The practice of Reiki is embodied in 5 Precepts: In this present moment (which is all that we have)-- Do not anger; Do not worry; Have gratitude & humility; Follow your true path with integrity; Show kindness and compassion to all.

My Philosophy of Care

Desire to serve. Spiritual nature of healing.

My Inspiration

It promotes balance, harmony, and healing at all levels, is relaxing and supports feelings of well-being.

Questions & Answers

Jackie, I agree re homeopathy. The homeopathic medicine symphytum (comfrey?) is well know to promote healing in bone. Reiki is also well known to accelerate healing, including fractures, without forcing the issue. Also, great for pain relief and general relaxation.

Methods such as Craniosacral Therapy often trigger shifts in structure and function. Releasing old dysfunctional patterns may transiently result in a number of symptoms, which might include headache. The longer a dysfunctional state has been present, the more likely it is that symptoms can occur as part of the healing process.

A Reiki session can be different each time you receive one, depending on where you are at and what your needs for healing are. Some common elements: general deep relaxation; increased feelings of well-being; feelings of temperature change, usually heat, around the practitioner's hands; sometimes a feeling of flow or energy movement in the body; light sleep. Sometimes, people will manifest signs of light sleep, such as snoring, but still be aware of the session, music, etc. Some people have imagery, such as colors, or fully formed dream-like scenes. Pain generally improves, or rises to the surface and dissipates. I recommend that you seek out a practitioner and try it out, if you haven't already. Thanks for asking!
