The heart of her practice lies in working with pregnant women, infants, children (including those with ADHD and ASD) and their families.
Hello! I'm Dr. Chelsea and I have been practicing as a Doctor of Chiropractic for several years. My focus is low-force adjustments, primarily for young women and their children. I am Webster Technique certified (for pregnant women) and have extensively studied and practiced gentle, effective adjustments for infants and children, particularly those with neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD and ASD. I relocated to the Atlanta area in August 2017 and am blessed to serve the communities of Chamblee, Doraville, Decatur, Tucker, Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, and Buckhead, as well as surrounding areas. I do also practice techniques which are safe for patients who have had previous spinal surgery and have seen excellent results with patients who have had spinal fusions and Harrington rods for scoliosis. I'm passionate about health education, particularly regarding holistic care.
By age 20, I was already struggling with severe allergies, asthma, sacroiliac joint pain, migraine headaches and digestive distress. I fell in love with chiropractic when my uncle (also a chiropractor of over 35 years), told me that the body is able to heal itself when interference is removed, and that adjustments help remove nervous system interference. Since becoming a chiropractic patient, I have less than one migraine per month, and rarely have lower back pain. I also saw improvements in my allergies, asthma, and digestive issues, all of which have almost completely resolved with dietary modifications. I have been completely dairy free for 5 years and gluten free for 2.5 and live a mostly-paleo lifestyle. Want to learn about paleo recipes and allergen-free living? Follow along!
As a chiropractor, I don't treat any disease or condition except vertebral subluxation, nor do I claim to do so. However, correction of vertebral subluxation has been linked to improved nervous system function and coordination, and I have had patients see a variety of "side-effects" including decrease in prenatal pelvic pain, improved infant latching, decreased allergies, increased attention and changes in a variety of symptoms and conditions selected from the topics listed in my profile. I do not practice allopathic medicine and any topics or advice listed in my profile should be taken as a general opinion and should not be interpreted as medical advice, particularly regarding treatment of specific health conditions. I do not take responsibility for any use, disuse or misuse of information listed on my profile on this or any internet site and further add that the user reading this information accepts sole responsibility.
