About me

*20 years of experience *
Hi there! After graduating from Hofstra University, I moved from New York to the Lehigh Valley, PA to open my martial arts academy (Aikido Masters Self-Defense Academy). When I started, I wanted to find something that I could do that would compliment my personal philosophy while helping to improve the lives of others.

After doing some research and soul searching, I enrolled and soon after graduated top of my class from the Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy. Right after, I began my study and current specialization in Craniosacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute.

Now with nearly 20 years of experience and training in Craniosacral therapy for adults and pediatrics, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, massage therapy, Applying acupuncture theory to craniosacral therapy, essential oils and Somatoemotional release my mission is to transform the way my clients feel.

When I am not seeing clients or teaching martial arts, I am teaching qigong to cancer survivors at the Cancer Support Community and writing, as I am a four-time published author.

My Philosophy of Care

I have been practicing the martial arts since the age of 7yrs old. As part of my training I starting seeing how the body works and what makes it stronger.

As I learned more I realized that the martial arts and healing are simply different sides of the same coin. That sparked my interest in the healing arts and the innate natural power of the body to heal itself.

It is for this and many other reasons that I want to share my knowledge with others so as to give them pain relief and help transform their lives.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Clients describe their first visit as extremely relaxing with a sense of profound change that something has "shifted." As Craniosacral Therapy is different than anything else I have experienced, it is something you have to try to understand.

My Inspiration

It is a gentle non-invasive therapy with amazing results. Because of it's gentle approach, even those who are extremely sore and/or sensitive can receive this therapy. It is also great for children for this reason.

Questions & Answers

Hi Amanda, Craniosacrsal therapy can be very helpful for anxiety. Craniosacral therapy can sedate the nervous system and create a sense of tranquility during the session. Of course, I have had many of my clients say that they leave more relaxed and calm then when they came in. Of course if there are emotional traumas in your life, this could compliment treatment from a psychologist.

Depending on the cause of the headaches, craniosacral therapy can be a great way to help relieve them. I have worked on tons of people and seen the huge benefit it can make. If the cranial bones are restricted and/or cranial nerves are being impinged, craniosacral therapy can help remove those restrictions and allow for healthy mobility while softening the surrounding membranes. Plus it is so relaxing. I highly recommend it.

Hi Amanda, Craniosacral therapy is great for babies. The birthing process can be stressful on a babies body. It can put pressure on the child's skull and even create an overlapping of skull bones. It can also cause strain on the neck and rest of their body. Craniosacral therapy can help realign the skeletal and craniosacral systems, strengthen the the immune system and start off a babies life on the right foot. I have worked with babies and seen the profound positive effect it has. Every child should get this done.
