Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist
Our partnership couples my knowledge and experience as a holistic physician with your dreams and values for optimal health and healing.
I have been serving individuals for more than 20 years, using my medical training, personal experiences and broad treatment modalities to assist people in navigating their health and healing. My main orientation is emphasizing body awareness, engaging the innate healing capacity of the body, and supporting the interconnectedness of the physical, mental and emotional aspects for long lasting health and transformation on all levels.
Through my practice as a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist I am continually learning from my patients as they demonstrate their resilience and unique gifts while moving through health challenges. Whether I am helping a woman during the transition of menopause or lessening the pain of an athlete’s shoulder or supporting a person as he lets go of his long time dependency to pain medications, I am honored to be invited into each person’s process of healing and recovery.
I teach regularly to therapists, health care practitioners, and non- professionals the relationship between childhood trauma and adulthood illness and write regularly on empowering approaches for transforming depression, anxiety, and addictions.
I earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree and Bachelor’s degree in Natural Health Sciences from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA and my Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture from Tri State College of Acupuncture in New York, NY. I received my Focusing Teacher Certification through Ann Weiser Cornell and Jeffrey Morrison and completed Jeffrey’s Focusing Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma program. I completed Lonny Jarret’s two- year Clinical Integration program on Five Element Acupuncture and Shen Hammer pulse diagnosis in San Francisco, CA. I have received additional training in using naturopathic medicine and acupuncture in the treatment of trauma, chronic pain, addictions, and women’s health.
I am licensed in Washington state as a Naturopathic physician and East Asian Medical Practitioner. I am a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Medicine and Washington State Acupuncture Society, and International Focusing Institute. I enjoy my work helping to grow Dynamic Peace, a not for profit learning community based in Seattle.
