About me

As a fitness coach and MELT® instructor I enjoy helping people connect with their body so they can move with ease, confidence and feel good. In 2012 I left a career in finance and started working in fitness because I’ve always been passionate about health and the benefits of being physically active. My educational path started with a Schwinn® Indoor Cycling instructor certification and shortly afterwards continued on the path of movement by attaining certifications in Barre and Pilates® Mat. I found teaching fitness classes to be absolutely joyful however the repetition and stress started to weigh in, and soon began waking up feeling achey and stiff, with low back and hip pain. This inspired me to investigate the restorative areas of fitness. I soon became certified in Triggerpoint ™ therapy which focuses on relieving tension in the myofascia, and more recently in the MELT Method®. MELT® technique is aligned with the latest discoveries in science on how the body works, and new research shows that if you take care of the most abundant material in the body that is very active and responsive (connective tissue aka "fascia") you can improve your overall long term health, and be able to maintain an active lifestyle without pain. Connective tissue is the stability system of our body, provides it's architectural framework and it's overall health is critical to our well being. MELT® is the only self-care technique out there that treats this system. The technique incorporates gentle compression and length technique using carefully designed soft balls and a soft roller, and helps to boost our natural cellular repair processes by re-hydrating the body’s connective tissue system and by rebalancing the nervous system. MELT is really good at helping the body eliminate chronic pain, and for me it helped with digestion, overall energy, reduced stiffness and joint pain, improved mood, improved range of motion and muscle recovery time. My clients have benefited similarly and it doesn’t take many sessions to learn it and do it on your own. MELT helps your body heal itself and can relieve a wide array of physical issues and ailments. MELT is complementary to any wellness program and is often that missing part of a "healthy body” approach for anyone wishing to maintain an active and pain free lifestyle.

Caring for the body is not hard, it just requires a little bit of enlightenment, discipine and encouragement, and my forte is helping others with just that. Prior to becoming an instructor in 2013, I've held various roles in the fitness industry including client relations director, studio manager, and before that spent 12+ years in the financial markets. My diverse background in finance, fitness, cooking, science and art provides a unique skill set and exuberance that embodies competitive spirit and respect for every body.
