Diana is a Certified Yoga Therapist with International Association of Yoga Therapists. A yoga instructor since 2006, she has been developing Yoga Therapy based wellness programs for individuals and special populations since 2013. Using a combination of yoga postures, breathing exercises, deep relaxation, guided imagery, meditation, and other yogic practices, Diana empowers individuals to improve their mental and physical health.
Unlike many alternate therapies, Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach that addresses and integrates mind, body, and spirit. It is distinctly different from general yoga instruction in that it is customized; Diana carefully chooses and molds tools and techniques to meet the specific needs of the individual or group. Anyone who is interested in using yoga to explore the full spectrum of their being ~ physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual ~ in a safe, supportive environment can benefit from Yoga Therapy.
Curiosity is what brought Diana to her first yoga class in 2003. The immediate physical benefits of the practice, including a complete remission of a hematological disorder, kept her coming back. Before long, yoga became a way of life and the source of strength and flexibility that has sustained her during difficult times. In the spirit of sharing the transformative power of yoga with others, she began teaching in the fall of 2006. She completed the 2006-2007 Empowered Yoga & Verge Power Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training Program and furthered her studies in 2010, completing a 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program with Charm City in Baltimore, MD. She completed a second 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program with Integrative Yoga Therapy in the summer of 2014 and an additional 500-Hour to complete her Yoga Therapy training in 2015. Diana was one of the first Yoga Therapists to receive certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists in 2016.
