Homeopath, Family Nurse Practitioner, Doctor of Naturopathy
Hello, I am a life long learner with a great respect for the human body and its amazing ability to heal itself when given the right support.
I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Classical Homeopath, and Doctor of Naturopathy who loves helping people feel well and radiate, vitality and health. I recommend Micro Nutrient panels twice a year, and offer supportive treatments such as natural supplements and infusion therapy to help people feel and look their best.
As a little girl I liked walking through the woods by the baseball field looking at the plant life, and trying to identify it. I had an old book of my mother's with me called Weeds. I still have the book and still use it. It is one of the books from the Golden Field Guide collection.
I've always been a natural nurturer. Even as a child, I was always trying to take care of everyone and everything I came across. I frequently brought home strays to take care of at our home. This natural desire to care for others led me to become a nurse as an adult. Over the years working in the medical field I became more interested in investigating natural remedies rather than the harsher things I saw used. I believe there is a time and place for everything, and one must use the right tool for the right job. In my opinion, it is best to start with gentle natural remedies first.
I was inspired to become a wellness professional after seeing a terrible adverse reaction to a new drug given to my father after a stroke. It was supposed to stop any further strokes, but instead he had a massive GI bleed. The poor thing must have been uncomfortable and was unable to tell us. It was a horrific sight to see. Large amounts of vomited bright red blood. He died a couple of days later. I was a young nurse in my twenties. That was the beginning of my search in learning for less harsh, yet effective treatment options.
I now have learned a lot about natural healing and health and base my practice on a more natural supportive approach.
The first office visit is very thorough. My clients often feel that they have finally been heard. They often feel extremely well cared for and very hopeful about their future health. I take my time when caring for my patients, and stay easily accessible to them.
The goal of integrative medicine is to find the underlying cause of the symptoms you are having; and to support the body in its natural recovery to optimal health.
