I bring a lifetime of experience to the consultation/coaching setting. Personal tragedies allow me to practice in a compassionate, heartfelt manner. My professional role was developed from a background rooted in humble beginnings with immigrant grandparents , a working class family, and a strong desire to help others. In the mid-1980s I met John Grinder, co-creator of NLP, Neurolinguistic Programming, with an interest in their modeling of patterns of hypnosis. My involvement with the cutting-edge developments in NLP's methodology continues to the present. I have studied and trained in EMDR, HeartMath, Gottman's Marital Research. More recently I have been involved in a grant-funded program to provide trauma-informed, solution-focused interventions with individuals with sexual trauma, addiction, and incarceration. As an adoptive parent of seven, two grandsons, I have a experiential realism, optimism, and persistent pursuit of helping others to make the most of their lives, despite the circumstances.
A desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others began what has become a lifetime journey of learning, practice, and continuing commitment to this end.
My clients understand from the initial session that we will collaborate in a manner that focuses upon the future. That whatever our past may be, we have the present moment to change our lives for the better.
Each session yields a practical result. And you will learn to approach problem-solving in a self-directed manner. Each session is designed to create To-Do's once the session has ended.
