In 2001, my mom passed away from breast cancer. I had recently started exercising and had lost some weight, but seeing her battle the disease inspired me to research ‘How NOT to get Breast Cancer’. At the time, I had NO IDEA that being overweight was a huge risk factor in not only contracting cancer, but led to so many other lifestyle related diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and more.
I would love to say that once I had that information that I quickly made the shift, however it took me years longer - trying diet fads, investing in expensive supplements, and diet foods - before I finally got serious and decided to figure it out: How do I lose weight for good without feeling like I have to give up everything that joy in my life?
How do I improve my relationship with food and my body? Because at that point, it felt like a constant battle.
What was crazy was that I knew it all. I was already a certified personal trainer and nutritionist. I had the information. So why wasn’t I doing it?
What resulted, was a deep dive into women’s hormonal health and personal development that made me realize that my weight was merely a result of not only my behaviors, but WHY I was doing them.
I’ve made all the mistakes and failed over and over and over again, and so my goal is to help my clients get results faster because I know what works and what doesn’t, and how to shift when what used to work doesn’t work anymore.

I specialize in working with women in mid-life because our hormones have such a huge impact on how we gain & lose weight.
Now - I don’t work like typical weight loss coaches in that I have a highly specialized skill set consisting of certifications in nutrition, women’s hormones, personal training, health coaching and life coaching. What this means for you is that not only can I help you with WHAT to do, but I can also help you understand and overcome both the physiological reasons behind things like cravings, overeating, over-desire, insomnia, and hot flashes or night sweats, but also the mental work that keeps us from being consistent in the habits that we know will lead to lasting weight loss.
Because of my training and 15 years of experience, I understand how not only our hormones impact our body’s ability to shed body fat, but also the impact that stress and anxiety has on our weight.
I work WITH you to help you learn how to read your body’s signals so that you aren’t dependent on meal plans & can feel empowered to go out to eat or to a party and not feel like it’s going to totally derail your progress.
Also, although I know about nutrition, you are the expert on your body & many of our bodies fall outside traditional diet advice. I see my relationship with my clients as a partnership - we are co-creators in your health.
So, I will work with you to create the right set of eating, exercise, sleep, and stress management habits that are right for you, your body, and your lifestyle.
