I’ve always been interested in holistic wellness and yoga because both have transformed my life from the inside out. Though I’m married to a physician, holistic measures are always my first modality of choice as it relates to my health and the health of my family. So many paths have intersected to bring me right where I am today. It’s been quite a journey and I’m so grateful for all of it, especially the days in the valley.
As a parent of a teen diagnosed with an eating disorder known as ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) I have been successful at using my coaching skills and good ole intuition to help navigate my daughter through some very challenging times. Her greatest successes have happened after we said “no” to conventional methods that were harming more than helping and just getting back to the grassroots of wellness. I’m currently open for coaching adults and young adults who are diagnosed with ARFID and ready to do the hard work to move from surviving to thriving!
One reason why I know ANYONE can become their healthiest best version of themselves is because I have had the privilege of teaching yoga to adults in addiction recovery. These are the yoga moments I cherish most. I have been a witness to men & women alike, turning away from their addiction to rebuild a life that brings them joy and fulfillment. I have also had the great opportunity to coach many women who have been recovered from addiction for 6 months+ as they reclaim their lives!
I believe in baby steps! Both in yoga and in goal setting for health and wellness coaching. I firmly believe it’s the way forward and to success! Overshooting the mark often leads to behaviors that cannot be sustained long term. My motto is “slow and steady wins the race”. I’m here to champion for you and dream with you. Whether it’s health and wellness coaching or yoga, my clients remain in the drivers seat. I’m committed to protecting each of my clients’ autonomy!
For health and wellness coaching I like to have a 75 minute initial session to get to know you, go over some house keeping items and find out what your expectations and desires are for our time together.
What has inspired me to walk this path of health and wellness coaching/yoga is mostly my own struggles and trauma throughout my life. I have found victory over extreme anxiety after seeking EMDR therapy in 2013. I became fearless, developing a fighting spirit to walk towards things that I once had been too afraid to go after. That propelled on a road to help others overcome their own personal roadblocks.
