Hi there! I'm a clinical nutritionist specializing in anxiety, attention, mood & immune health for children, teens, and adults.
I am a clinician, educator, mother, wife, and fur-mom with a passion for nutrition and human physiology. Away from the office, I enjoy hiking or trail running, geocaching and gardening with my beagle and two homeschooled kiddos.
My entry into this field came when my son was diagnosed with an array of environmental and food allergies after years of struggling with serious attention and behavioral problems. The culprits include common foods like peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, soy, wheat, peas, potatoes, strawberries, green beans, peaches, green peppers, carrots, apples and pears.
As you can imagine, this diagnosis drastically changed our lives – surprisingly, for the better! The frustration, helplessness, and steep learning curve that came with adapting to everyday life while ensuring my son’s optimal nutrition is what drives me to help other parents change their children's futures.
Many of my clients are truly relieved to have their concerns heard during our first consultation. Some have been to numerous practitioners and have found little relief; others are excited to discuss their timelines of personal health and see the connections come together before their eyes. The first visit is typically very empowering and hopeful.
These beliefs define the way I work:
----There is power in your story. I am here to listen.
----Optimal nutrition and a nourishing environment sets the stage for true healing.
----Symptoms always have a root cause.
----Individualized care is important!
