Emily began her professional career by attending the prestigious AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine where she earned her Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. While in school she began an internship at The Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture (TCRA) where she had the opportunity to study under Kirsten Hurder-Karchmer, a leader in the field of fertility acupuncture.
Working at TCRA was career changing and provided Emily the platform to move to north Texas to open their Plano and Fort Worth locations where she served as the clinical director and senior acupuncturist of their Plano office location until 2012. During this time she was able to build strong client relationships and further expand her education in the field of fertility health and nutrition.
Through her experience in working with fertility patients, Emily noticed a strong connection between poor digestive health and fertility health problems. She has since expanded her practice to include the treatment of food and environmental allergies by utilizing the NAET system, to help ensure her care continues to be of the whole body systems. Emily has also worked very hard to earn the professional care level in Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy enabling her to work on physical hindrances causing infertility such as scarring, adhesion, and prolapse. She plans to continue her advancement in this area.
Now, the owner of Acupuncture by Emily, she offers alternative healthcare options for those suffering from issues such as infertility, digestive disorders, pain, stress, migraines, and foo/environmental allergies. Her goal is to provide compassionate and effective treatments to her patients in a relaxing environment.
Additionally, she has done talks for RESOLVE, a peer-led national infertility association, to help spread the word of natural fertility options and acupuncture as an adjunct therapy to IVF/IUIs. Emily continues to form relationships throughout the DFW area to help bridge the gap between holistic and allopathic reproductive medicines.
She is excited to continue to provide safe, effective, and proven methods for treating infertility and allergies. If you are interested in learning more about how acupuncture may be able to help, please give her a call.
