In 1992, I broke both legs and my pelvis in a crushing car accident and had a near-death experience. This revelation, and all that came after, showed me that we are so much more than our personalities and our material existence. The doctors told me it was unlikely I would walk again, yet an absurd optimism made that reality impossible. I became a master of self-hypnosis and guided visualization, rising from my wheelchair in just three months and walking without crutches or a cane in six. As a way to continue my healing journey, I studied yoga and meditation, certifying to teach in 2004 and going on to study yoga therapy and both yogic and mindfulness meditation. Infinitely interested in the mind-body-energy intersection, I went on to get licensed in massage therapy, specializing in oncology and cranial sacral therapy and later, became a reiki master.
Through the discovery of my own healing power, I've committed to guiding women to discover their own. Liberated living comes from self-knowledge and self-compassion. Women are naturally connected to the earth, possessing an inherent spiritual knowledge that, when eclipsed or hidden, causes deep suffering. Meditation and yoga are crucial in women reclaiming their power and their connection to all life, where emotional independence and soaring self-esteem become the norm. I source from years of studying ancient eastern philosophies, especially the yogic texts, Buddhist ideals, the Tao, Aikido, depth psychology, and mysticism.
Fear and insecurity have stalked you for too long. When you shift from external living---meaning you receive your validation from others---to internal living where you source from your own wisdom and self-love---the fragile ego is transformed into self-knowledge, ease and personal peace. My work guides women to discover their own path and direction, distinct from societal conditioning.
Interested in meeting you where you are, I will ask you to tell me your story, how you arrived at this place on your journey, and what your self-actualized journey will look like. You can expect kind directness from me and know that I am seeing you through the eyes of perfection and imminent potential.
The near-fatal car accident I had at 21 years old---while I did walk again, came with chronic, pervasive pain. Pain became my companion and my teacher, compelling me into a healing odyssey. I sought physical and emotional healing through movement, bodywork, energy, meditation, counseling, and the arts . The discovery I made is that we are more powerful than we are led to believe and there are many ways to see and experience the world. By opening to the mystery, we open to the wonder of living.
