Haywood is a stellar motivator. He is a creative thinker when it comes to exercising. If he can dream up the move, you will be exercising with it. One thing that set Haywood apart is how much I could tell he cares about his customers/athletes. Haywood’s training groups are smaller than the general fitness club atmosphere, which is good. This allowed him to provide one on one attention to make sure that athletes are executing the proper form in their movements. More attention equals less injuries! Haywood is an out of the box thinker. He has big vision for his business. I can see he has a heart for his community, relationships and helping others.
I enjoy working out with Haywood and I love learning new ways to challenge myself. He makes me laugh all the while kicking my butt. If you enjoy having fun, meeting new people, and improving your fitness level at the same time, you need to check it out!
I first met Coach Wood at a networking event. When he stood up to do his "60 second" intro you could see his passion come through. He mentioned that he worked with runners. I had decided I was going to try a full marathon this year so I talked to Coach Wood and planned to meet with him. I met him at his office and he immediately focused on my individual goals and asked me a lot of details even about nutrition and food issues (which I have a lot). We sat down and worked out a plan and talked through payment. Coach Wood is a high value at a very competitive price. I chose to sign up for a once per week personal training session and a year long of group classes. In the few short weeks of training I've learned a lot and often have Haywood's voice in my head, "pop, pop, pop; listen to the cadence; drive with your hip..." Very knowledgeable, very driven and gives you an awesome and challenging workout. Highly recommend!

About me

The Haywood Simmons story is one of discoveries and teachings. At an early age I was introduced to homeopathic medicine and apothecaries. While I grew up on a family farm outside of Macon Georgia; sugars, preservatives and hormones found me there and took my health for an adventurous ride. As an honor student and three sport athlete I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at 16 and suffered many other pains and illness before college.

I attended college during a booming time at the University of Wisconsin Madison while on two powerful medications for regulation of my hypertension. At Wisconsin I was apart of the first Rosebowl Victory in school history and earned to opportunity to play with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent. As in undersized everything I was always eating whatever I had assess to as a means of adding and maintaining body mass and strength.

Post college and professional sports my weight soared north of 350 lbs. Aches and pains were and everyday occurrence until I decided to make a change in my life. I took the leap for marketing to sports marketing to sports trainer to personal trainer to life coach to mindfulness coach to yoga instructor to hypnotist to EFT practitioner Healing Hands Energy Healing to now 185 lb disease free holistic healer.

My extensive background affords me today the opportunity to reach those in need of healing.

Add cloves, and an occasional teaspoon of juniper berrries. Also, eat is three hours or more before bedtime. Drinking water with a lime and 2 pinches of cayanne pepper(all organic). There are two teas we have as well.

Travel Foods that Last. Avocado bowls with sugar free flax or blue chips, Brazil nuts, walnuts, infused water. Lentil and kale soup in a hot sealed container, Berry mix in a small cup. Breathing and staying calm while hydrating a good idea. Quinoa, prunes, beets travel well and so does beet juice. Find a way to get reshi mushrooms in and shiitake.

In ONE month my results at Phitness Plus = 22 units of insulin down from 44 units, no more anxiety medication, reduced depression medication by 50%, reduced blood pressure medication by 50% . I was referred to Haywood Simmons by a personal friend and after my first workout I signed on for my first 10 weeks during a time that I needed some help getting physically fit again.
