Fitness & Movement Instructor
I began teaching group exercise classes 25 years ago. Shortly after, I added individualized personal training. Throughout these years I have taught multiple formats including low-impact aerobics, ballet barre and strength training. My current focus is utilizing the following modalities to best serve each client: Corrective Exercise, Yoga, The GYROTONIC Method, and Strength Training. I currently teach one or two clients at a time in a private studio setting. Earlier in my career, I taught at several gyms, college campuses, and outpatient medical/rehabilitation clinics.
Heidi and I discussed forms that I filled out before my first visit. These forms captured my relevant health history and my fitness goals. The forms also required me to think about my health and fitness goals and to be honest with myself about my current motivation levels. We discussed my reasons for wanting her guidance. I spent the remainder of my appointment exercising. Heidi explained that I would be exercising more, and talking less, during subsequent appointments.
