Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner; Transformational Health Coach
I incorporate energy healing into my nutritional therapy and coaching to bring harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. I am committed to your having optimal health in all three--and having it joyfully!
Helen Gardiner-Parks is certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner which means she gets to play with food AND help people. The best job in the world, in her opinion. Helen also has a master's degree in elementary education from Sarah Lawrence College and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Wellesley College. She is a writer as well as an avid exerciser (pickleball anyone?!). Helen practices yoga on her home mat and uses meditation to keep herself grounded and useful to her community. And, to round things out, she has played the violin since she was 8 and has passable skills in spoken Spanish.
Helen has been studying nutrition ever since she became a vegetarian in college. Fast forward a couple of decades until, shortly after the age of 40, Helen developed arthritis and intense gastro-intestinal issues. Her knees hurt so much, she had to stop hiking--and going out in public was dicey. In order to feel better, Helen explored multiple healing options until she read Jordan Rubin's story and found The Weston A. Price Foundation with its focus on traditional eating. This was more than a decade ago and today Helen continues to be fully committed to a whole foods, sustainably-raised diet, hikes and runs to her heart's content, and goes out in public with impunity. Life is good and she is eager to share what she has learned with anyone who will listen. Her family may roll their collective eyeball when she encourages them to eat homemade kombucha or kimchi, but they can't argue with their mom's energy level!
Vegetarianism let me down! My body fell apart and, in rebuilding it, I realised my gift in supporting others to do the same.
My clients appreciate that I listen and work with them gently, rather than drawing red lines in the sand.
Food is medicine, medicine is food. The body responds to the flow of energy in real, whole foods, as well as to the power of Reiki to shift emotional or spiritual blockages. With my support, we get the mind, body, and spirit back in sync.
