Discover the transformative power of holistic healing with S. Hunter Thompson, a skilled acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) and Foundations of Wellness in Bowie, MD. With a passion for helping others achieve optimal well-being, Dr. Thompson brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to each patient interaction.

As a graduate of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now MUIH) and a former Chair of the Theory Division at MUIH, Dr. Thompson has been dedicated to the field of integrative medicine since 1997. He holds a Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine, maintains Diplomate status in Acupuncture by the NCCAOM, and is a certified Detoxification Specialist by NADA.

Dr. Thompson's journey began in the 1980s when he experienced the profound physical and emotional benefits of acupuncture firsthand. This transformative experience ignited his passion for holistic healing and led him to pursue a career in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

During your first visit, Dr. Thompson will provide a compassionate and attentive ear, taking the time to explore the interconnectedness of your concerns, lifestyle, emotions, and spiritual well-being.
