I contacted Dr. Karla in March 2016 looking to improve my nutrition habits and lose extra body fat and wow, what a change it has been for the better. Dr. Karla made it clear from the start that it would be a non-starvation plan and that couldn’t be more true. I never knew I could eat so much food and lose weight! In the last six months, I’ve lost over 35 pounds while still maintaining strength and improving fitness, and have learned the importance of always having healthy foods prepared so it’s easy to make good decisions. Dr. Karla has worked with my individual food preferences and adjusted my plan as my body has changed. Many people give up on diets because they are unrealistic but it’s been easy to stick with my plan because I am well fueled. Another benefit has been having better energy throughout the day and no afternoon slump. I am thankful for the help in learning healthy habits I can maintain for life and look forward to reaching more health and fitness goals!

About me

I enjoy helping and encouraging people find their potential. In my life, I am always striving to be “Better than Yesterday” and I encourage others to do the same. In a society where upwards towards 90% of people sit all day at work, teaching people how to move properly is one of the best gifts a doctor can give. As a Chiropractor and a coach in the Fargo-Moorhead area, I appreciate working with people who may be overcoming an old injury and finding ways to teach them how to move differently and more effectively to avoid future injuries. I have the ability to instill functional movements into the young and old alike.

I was born and raised in Barnesville, Minnesota. I pursued a pre-medicine undergraduate degree at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and majored in Biology and Exercise Physiology. I went on to graduate with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West and Summa Cume Laude from Logan University with a Master’s Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

Since then, I have become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), obtained my International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma (ICSSD), and Level 1&2 CrossFit trainer Certification and am a Level 2 USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.
