Kat taught yoga at two of the retreats I hosted and she was amazing!!! Everyone loved her and she has such an awesome energy. She is knowledgeable, kind, and motivating. Super professional and I can always count on her!! Her guided meditations are sooo good. Her music taste is also on point ;) Highly recommended!!!
Kat is a a top-notch yoga teacher. She brings such a zen, creative vibe to her practice. She offers adjustments in class to those that welcome it and respects space if that's your preference.She is gentle, but pushes you to your limit to get in a good sweat. Kat is knowledgable about the philosophy of yoga and skilled in guided meditation, as well as positions to stretch out tension or provide modifications if needed in your practice. I always leave her class feeling like I got in a good stretch, sweat, and stress reduction. Added bonus, her playlists area always the best! You will be very happy with the wellness services from this professional!
I met Kat through Yoga Studio Classes. She is very professional and she is just soooo enjoyable to be around with. As a young professional living in SF with stress from work, I feel going to her classes was one of my fav things to do after a long day. She demonstrates and instructs so well that I always felt both psychically and mentally satisfied from her teaching.

About me

I am a yoga instructor, personal trainer and group fitness instructor in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I completed my Yoga Teaching Certification after studying in Bali, Indonesia. My certification is through the Yoga Alliance US. I love spreading my knowledge of and passion for yoga by teaching at events, studios, and private lessons. If you're interested in some guidance with your practice, please feel welcome to reach out to me.

I also hold a personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have experience working with weight loss and strength training clients in fitness studios and at their homes. I also love working with clients that want to increase mobility to level up their fitness routines. Have a goal you want some support with? Let me know! I believe that wellness and fitness are for everyone. I work with a variety of clients from different backgrounds and am always happy to cater each lesson to the individual's particular goals and capabilities. 

My Philosophy of Care

My journey to becoming a wellness professional began with my family! My parents are dedicated Crossfit athletes, so I was exposed to the benefits of fitness from a young age. In my college years, I began practicing yoga as a way to cope with stress. Since then, my perspective on fitness and wellness has shifted to a very holistic view. I continue to be inspired by my clients every day!

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

My clients are often surprised by my energy! As a holistic wellness and fitness professional, I believe in holding space for my clients in whatever way will best support them. The first session is a chance for us to collaboratively set goals and establish the tone for our time together. I'm there to support them as a guide, coach, and partner in their journey.

My Inspiration

Yoga is a practice for everybody and every body. I recognize that starting at a studio can be intimidating when you're unfamiliar with the postures, alignment, language and etiquette. I'm happy to help you get started with your practice in an inviting, nonjudgemental fashion. Together, we can build the foundations for your practice to with strength and confidence!

I don't believe there is one true answer to this question. Yoga asana, the physical practice of postures, is something that should be practiced such that it feels good in the body. If it feels good every day, practice away! Also know that there are many types and paces of yoga; ashtanga may be best for a day you feel energetic, hatha for a day you feel medium energy, yin for a day with low energy. Any type of yoga you practice should be one that feels good in your body.

I met Kat during our time at UC Santa Cruz. I was on the University's rugby team and she had just returned from Bali after completing her yoga training. Given the nature of the sport, I was looking for a supplemental way to improve my team's flexibility. Long story short, Kat came to me with a functional yoga plan that she said would not only improve the team's flexibility but also prevent injury during games and training. She customized the yoga plan to movements relevant to the sport and (so kindly) led sessions for the team 1-2 times a week all for free. Let it be known that if yoga isn't exactly your thing but you are an athlete that is looking to improve functional mobility/flexibility relevant to your sport then Kat is definitely the yoga instructor to go to. Her versatility and willingness to work with you is unmatched and you will not go wrong if you go with Kat.
