MOVEMENT. MINDFULNESS. NUTRITION.
I graduated from the University of Maryland School with a degree in Public Health/Health Education. In 2016, I founded EDS Wellness, Inc. — a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit. I'm a Certified Health Education Specialist (C.H.E.S.) and a Certified 200hr Yoga Instructor. I completed my 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher Training & Certification at The Mindfulness Center in Bethesda, MD. I'm currently working towards the completion of a 2-3 year program to become a Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist (RES) under Katy Bowman of Nutricious Movement. I have extensive knowledge on the complexities of living with chronic medical conditions & lifestyle management strategies from working in pharmaceutical & medical sales, through the development and implementation of various health education programs, through medical writing & publishing. I have been active in the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, hypermobility disorders, and related conditions communities for over ten years. It was through my life and professional experiences, that I founded EDS Wellness, including Wellapalooza Integrative Wellness Conferences (& retreats!), and collaborated with Clair Francomano, M.D & Deborah Norris, Ph.D., to develop & implement the ‘Mind-Body Strategies for Hypermobility with Chronic Pain’ program — 1st launched in November 2016 at The Mindfulness Center. I also run two small businesses - a medical sales & professional consulting business, founded after the birth of her 1st son in 2005, and publishing company focused on print and digital media in the medical & wellness fields.
I have3 babies (Johann - 12 1/2yo, Seamus - 8 1/2yo & Hallen - 7yo), have been married for 15 years in December and have 2 miniature husky pups (Alaskan Klee Kai's) - Mush & Else.
