Battling with mental health issues can leave you feeling drained and unsure where to turn. I work with children and adults that struggle with depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, ADHD, and interpersonal issues providing encouragement and assist clients in the change of their cognitive perspectives. I encourage them in art/play and/or activities that foster positive coping skills. Whether clients are struggling with emotional or behavioral issues, my goal is to help them improve self-regulation.
Therapy can include individual sessions and family sessions. Individual therapy is designed around client needs. Helping families to understand and provide safe supportive assistance to provide stability for all.
Art is a regular part of my therapy practice. Art used in therapy is about the process not about the finished product. A person does not have to be artistic to benefit from art therapy and works for any age. Sometimes it is easier to speak with a picture when words cannot be found.
