Medicine for the body and soul.
Welcome to my world of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)—a medicine, an art, and a philosophy. TCM has thousands of years of experience of honoring the seasons, cycles and our interconnectedness to all things. I feel privileged to serve the growing demand for acupuncture and complementary medicine at Acacia Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs in Tucson. I am conveniently located at the southwest side of River and Campbell below the majestic Catalina Mountains.
I received my M.S. and OMD in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at South Baylo University, in Orange County, California, and did post graduate study in Beijing, China. I have been practicing Chinese Medicine and acupuncture for 28 years and have lived in Tucson for the past 17 years. I was one of the co-founders, with my husband, Alex Holland, of the Asian Institute of Medical Studies that is now Han University of Traditional Medicine www.hanuniversity.edu. I practiced acupuncture at the University of Arizona Campus Health Sports Medicine Department for many years and at Canyon Ranch Health Resort. At Canyon Ranch I developed “Acuphoria”, an acupuncture protocol that initiates a deep state of relaxation and well being.
In my private practice, I offer personalized, heart-centered healthcare in an aesthetically pleasing and calming environment. My commitment is to help relieve pain and suffering through the healing tools and techniques of Chinese Medicine. My focus is on preventive medicine, mind-body healing and graceful aging. My role is that of listener and facilitator to help empower others on their path to wholeness. For those standing at the threshold of change and confronting life’s big questions, I have developed and offer Akashic Acupuncture. An Akashic Reading is included with an acupuncture session that helps give voice to one’s Soul and purpose, revitalizes the body-mind and opens the way for greater joy and aliveness.
We are all on a unique journey seeking optimal ways of being who we are within the life we have manifested. This can be a challenging experience requiring support along the way. I offer a skillful hand and an open heart, believing that all healing is homecoming.
