Driven and fascinated by physicality and the mind Liz has engaged in athletics and philosophical inquiry all her life. Liz began with ballet and other forms of dance as a young child followed by swimming, swim coaching, and fighting in the styles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
Liz received a BS with a double major in Philosophy and the History of Math and Science and a double minor in Comparative Literature and the Classics from St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM. During her time in NM she discovered the joys of Zazen meditation through the Upaya Zen Center and the writings of Roshi Shunryu Suzuki.
After St. John’s she found out very quickly that becoming a lawyer would not do and signed up at Lauterstein-Conway Massage School. Liz began an intensive yoga practice in February 2011. Soon after she completed Gioconda’s yoga teacher training and has been teaching ever since. She invites anyone who wants to find and fall in love with their power and their edge in an atmosphere of safety and support.
Liz now operates as a JFB Myofascial Release therapist, yoga teacher, and owner of Prosperity Bodywork in central Austin. She has developed a reputation for having a unique capacity to attune with minds and bodies
