Before becoming a health coach I thought I was eating pretty well and couldn't understand why I was struggling. It turns out that I really didn't know what to eat; well I didn't know what to eat for my body type that is. I didn't realize that what can be considered healthy for one person may not be healthy for everyone! After becoming a health coach I realized that everyone's requirements are different! Some people thrive on foods that actually drain my energy and make me feel sluggish and bloated. I was amazed at how much energy I gained, how my aches and pains faded away and how much clearer my thinking became when I figured out what foods my body wanted. What a huge difference it has made in my life!
I was thrilled when I figured out what my 'unique self' should be eating! All I could think was that I finally cracked the code. I felt like my body was finally my friend and not my enemy. I wanted to tell everyone what I had figured out! The best thing is that I no longer have strange food cravings because I'm giving my body the fuel that it wants and thrives on. I realized that the cravings were just a messenger telling me that something was off and it was asking me to find a new solution.
I'm most happy with how my life and my perspective have changed through this amazing journey: My stress level has dropped tremendously, I make time to go to the gym twice a week, I'm happier and more relaxed, I have taken steps to unclutter my life and actually have found time to pursue things that I didn't think I had time for. I'm also amazed at how I was able to eliminate bad habits and form healthier ones. I've learned to be comfortable with who I am and I'm much happier because of it. Not only did I figure out what foods made my body happy and healthy, I learned to love myself even more along the way.
