Massage By Mauro
Licensed Massage Therapist
I am a graduate of the Lauter-Steing Conway school of massage (1999) and The Swedish Institute in NYC (2001).
I have worked in spa settings as well as chiropractors' offices. I currently work with special needs individuals that are autistic or have cerebral palsy in their homes.
Working with companies providing chair massage to their employees to help with work stress and work productivity has also been a rewarding part of my massage work.
Providing table massage to sporting events like the NYC marathon or the MS150 here in Austin has also been part of my work experience.
If you are looking to have an in-home massage then leave the driving to me. I will bring my table and oils/cream and sheets. You just provide your music and enjoy the massage in the comfort of your own home. You won't even have to drive after a relaxing massage.
If you own a company and would like to incorporate chair massage for your employees every week or once a month let me come and distress your employees with my massage chair and you will be the boss of the year. All I will need is a quiet room to set up my chair. You can let your employees pay or you can pick up the tab.
I used to give friends back rubs. One time one of them encouraged me to attend massage school. That was 21 years ago and I'm still on this career path. I am very grateful to that friend who saw something in me that I didn't at the time and I am still loving every minute of being a health care worker and helping people manage their pain and stress.
People say that I am very detailed in my massage techniques. They have stated that they appreciate that I listen and attentive to their requested area of concentration and apply the right amount of pressure.
Clients leave relaxed and in a better mood than when they first walked in.
Every therapist is different. You just need to find the one you like. I also encourage them to ask questions and to communicate with their therapist at all times.
