About me
About me
I was a wildland firefighter for 15 years. After high school, I went into wildland fire with the U.S. Forest Service, and I traveled around the country fighting fire during the summers. In addition, I would travel internationally and backcountry ski as much as possible in the winter. In 2015, a close friend passed away, and the weight of the grief completely crushed me.
Soon the grief dragged all of my unresolved issues to the surface, and I found myself in a state of terror, panic, declining health; and I didn't know what to do. I thought I was dying from the inside out.
