Nick's meditations are simple but powerful. They are easily able to be utilized in your everyday life, and afterwords you feel grounded, centered and relaxed. I will definitely be using his meditation techniques regularly, and highly recommend him to anyone who wants to start meditating.
Nick is a master at guiding meditation. I felt more focused and relaxed within minutes!!
I was living in a monastery when Nick crossed my path 5 years ago. The robe, the long sitting hours, the discipline, the silence...none of that prepared me for that encounter and the transformative questioning process that followed. How is it possible that the teachings on meditation be infused with so much humor and kindness? ...to bridge the individual practice with the outside world? ...to embody the Dharma and take it to the heart? Nick's ways of teaching and guiding were beyond anything I experienced before. A new way of practicing, studying and embodying the Dharma was taking roots in my heart. Through the years that followed my return to lay life the relation with Nick deepened. He became my teacher, my guide, my light…and most importantly a true friend...Thank you for being such a transformative actor in my life.

About me

I have a passion for sharing the authentic wisdom of meditation, as it has changed my life!
After over 20 years of deep training in the practice of meditation, I believe in everyone’s potential to explore and benefit from the meditation, and I am devoted to guiding people along their path with friendliness and care.
I have studied under Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, and many other great Tibetan Lamas.
I speak in front of hundreds at universities, hospitals, businesses, and online. I find humor and relaxation inspire people to come into the present moment and enable deeper work in our journeys. learn more at: www.nickkranz.com

My Philosophy of Care

In my own life nothing has had a greater impact on my own well being and ability to appreciate being alive.
I love helping people to further realize their potential. It brings me great joy to be a part of your journey to self actualization. It turns out I teach the art of appreciation. How we view our life determines what we see, and I help people to find resources in the way they perceive their world, and nothing brings me more joy then helping people to find their joy, and help them discover the tools to live in that perspective!

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Feeling seen, they know they can open up to themselves in a space of acceptance. They get a sense of our working style together and leave with something they can use to improve the quality of their lives. We explore your life circumstances, the emotional world you are feeling, and how to utilize meditation in your specific situation to accomplish your goals.

My Inspiration

It's not what we think! Some people feel they can't do it before they try, or they imagine it to be about having no thoughts. But my methods reveal that we are naturally coming back to the present moment, and we can harness this to live our best lives. It turns out it is not what comes up in our experience that determines our well being, but how we work with what arises in our experience, that leads us to greater freedom.

Nick is a master at guiding meditation. I felt more focused and relaxed within minutes!!
A conversation with Nick has always been a joyful experience for me. He definitely has the ability to support, inspire and help me connect to the phenomenal world. I'm very grateful for the compassionate connection I have with him.
Meeting with Nick for meditation instruction is the best kind of life coaching I can imagine. When he opens a session with, "How are you?" I have learned that it's not just a small-talk transition to the "real thing." Nick has a way of listening that assures me that he "gets it." I realize as he responds, that he has taken what I have shared about whatever is going on in my life, and is transforming it like magic into a teaching. Thanks to Nick's guidance, my practice both on and off the cushion keeps deepening. It is obvious that he loves working with his students, and that makes it hard not to feel the same kind of delight in my own meditation path.
Nick has been my meditation teacher and coach for about 5-6 years. His patience and gentleness, his commitment to the Dharma, to what is real, and to the great compassion that arises out of that, might only be surpassed by his commitment to his students, to guiding and supporting their journey - my journey - as students, as practitioners, as human beings. It has been beyond inspiring and empowering for me. It continues to increase my confidence in myself as a student, as a practitioner, as a human being, and is giving me a capacity to be with myself and my experience, no matter what it is, with that same gentleness and patience that Nick brings to his own practice and to working with his students. I’m just so grateful.
Nick is a person with a tremendous understanding of people and all kinds of issues you may want to work on. He’s an incredible meditation teacher and is also so knowledgeable. I’m really grateful for all his help and so happy I met him. I would highly recommend Nick.
I have known Nick for a quite some time and have been asking him for advise and guidance on many occasions, even though he is much younger than me. Nick possess wisdom, knowledge and experience despite of his age, at the same time he is also very kind, loving and sincere. It all makes you trust Nick without reservations as he always will give me another perspective and tools to live by. Working with Nick is truly life-giving because he never gives up on me, and that helps me to continue growing. He listens to what is going on in my life in such a non judgmental way, that I can see where I am getting stuck. I have found working with him to be clear and inspiring.
I have studied with Nick for 4 years. I say studying with, because even though he has tons more knowledge and understanding of the Dharma than I do, it feels like a partnership. I can say without a doubt that Nick is open and accepting. No matter what I throw at him, he is able to absorb it, never pushing it back at me. He is also compassionate, generous, patient, insightful, and supportive. My practice, my knowledge and understanding of the Dharma and of myself have grown by leaps and bounds since I started working with Nick. I am grateful for him and highly recommend him as a teacher.
Meeting with Nick provided me with personal insight and direction to support and further my meditation practice. His sense of humor, compassion, and knowledge put me at ease. This was just the kind of instruction I needed, especially being new to meditation.
I've been working with Nick for a few years, first as a student of Social Meditation and now through private meditation instruction sessions. Nick has a really magnetic personality and a true gift for explaining mindfulness and dharma practices in a fun and accessible way. Since working one on one with Nick, I have seen significant shifts in my ability to fully experience the ups and downs of daily life and my ability to stay present and weave my practice throughout my day.
Nick has soo much wisdom to offer. He knows soo many different mediation techniques he can customize them for the individual or for the moment. From short 2 minute sensory awareness mediations to longer deeper styles he has the tools to share. For beginners and advanced people Nick offers great options with his online mediation programs.
Nick came highly recommended from some fellow mental health clinicians. He is an imensely talented meditation teacher and coach, who has helped me get started, and restarted, on the path. His patience, clarity, generosity of spirit, warmth and empathy are most helpful. Even online, Nick has the tools to teach across the distance during this pandemic times, although I look forward to working in person in the future. Nick epitomizes ethical practice and I recommend Nick without reservation. Betty J Ruth, Clinical Professor, Boston University School of Social Work
