Hi I'm Alexa! I am a lover of pizza, chocolate, laughter, and sunshine. I'm an Anti-Diet Certified Holistic Nutritionist with my own virtual nutrition practice, Freely Wholesome Nutrition. I'm also a corporate wellness nutrition instructor where I teach healthy cooking classes and host nutrition talks! My nutrition approach combines both my years of professional education/research and my 10+ years of personal experience with dieting and disordered eating. I used these experiences to create my unique methodology and approach to sustainable healthy eating for women - The Confident Nourishment Method. I live in the beautiful state of Oregon with my husband and our dog. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. Food is definitely my love language! I also enjoy spending time outdoors gardening, camping, kayaking, going to the beach, or visiting local wineries. It's my life's mission to help and empower as many women as possible in finding confidence with their health, food, and body. I would be honored to be your guide on your journey.
I am a weight inclusive practice & believe health is more than just weight. You will never be asked to share weight or measurements. I am an anti-diet practice & do not promote things like calorie counting, food tracking, or food restriction. I teach intuitive & mindful eating practices combined with evidence-based nutrition science with the goal of empowering you to know how to nourish your unique body in a way that allows you to feel & function your best. I believe in progress over perfection.
During your first 1:1 coaching session, I will spend some time getting to know you better so I can know how best to support you during our time together. We will chat about how you're feeling, areas you may need more accountability or support in throughout the program, and make sure you feel set up and ready for success.
I've always had a passion for helping others. I discovered my passion for nutrition after healing myself from years of struggling with dieting, disordered eating, food guilt, weight cycling, & lack of confidence around nourishing my body properly. Through research, education, & experience, I came to realize that diets were the hidden root cause of my struggles. I made it my mission to educate & empower other women on this truth about diets & how to take back control of their health & happiness.
