Anita Lang-Bakar is a California State Board Licensed Acupuncturist and a nationally certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
She obtained her Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco.
She is a certified Massage Therapist in Tuina, a Chinese form of bodywork that complements her holistic approach to healing.
She has accumulated over 1000 hours of clinical experience at the ACTCM Community Clinic and the ACTCM Auricular Clinic as well as at the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Stroke Rehabilitation Unit.
She also went to the Chengdu University of TCM in Sichuan, China, to further her knowledge by getting a certificate and doing rotations in Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Respiratory diseases, Gastro-intestinal and Cardiovascular diseases as well as Pain Management and Dermatology.
She is often found attending seminars and classes to further her education as she thrives to be at the forefront of what Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine have to offer in order to provide her patients with the best possible care.
Anita’s areas of specialty include Pain Management, working with Athletes & Sports Injuries, Stress/Anxiety and Insomnia, Neurological diseases (Parkinsons, Bell's Palsy, MS) as well as internal medicine.
Anita was born and raised in France as well as in Morocco and Germany. She then came to the United States to receive her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Smith College in Massachusetts. She worked on Wall Street and in finance for 20 years and is the proud mother of twin girls.
Anita's fluency in English, French, German, Spanish and Hungarian enables her to bring Chinese Medicine and healing to a wide variety of people.
