About me

Annalisa practices on the upper west side of Manhattan on 72nd between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. She specializes in acute and chronic pain with a special interest in Fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease and related conditions. She has advanced her practice of Japanese acupuncture at Meiji University of Integrative Medicine in Kyoto, Japan, has studied orthopedic acupuncture techniques for chronic and acute pain with some of the top practitioners in the field; has two certifications in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, underwent training in nutritional supplementation for cardiac health, and is certified by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Oncology Acupuncture. She helps her patients uncover hidden blockages to recovery in order to resolve pain and illness once and for all.

Annalisa has volunteered her time for various organizations, notably the Bumi Sehat Foundation International, a non-profit, village-based birthing and community health clinic in Bali, Indonesia, for staff of the Hospital for Joint Diseases, and runners in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers event.

Annalisa has a Master of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), the largest school of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the US with campuses in New York, Chicago and San Diego. This intensive 5 year program of study combined both Chinese and western medical coursework and included more than 3,000 hours of clinical experience seeing patients. She is designated a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Commission on the Certification of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed in the state of New York.

Before pursuing Chinese medicine, Annalisa worked in the corporate world for the financial institution industry as well as ran small non profit arts organizations.
