I'm a certified yoga therapist specializing in mental health and emotional health. I'm here to help you navigate anxiety, depression, burnout and trauma recovery through yoga!
My work is based on the understanding that our emotions, thoughts, behaviors as well as trauma are so connected to our bodies and express themselves through our bodies.
I use movement, breath, relaxation techniques as well as yoga philosophy to go deeper than what the mind is telling us and find ways to support our mental and emotional health in a holistic way.
In a yoga therapy session, we take into account all of you - body, mind, breath, emotions, thoughts - the challenges, the successes, the middles - all of you is welcome and seen. Because, let's be honest, being a human in this world we live in can be heartbreaking, joyful, disappointing, amazing, infuriating, beautiful, uncomfortable and everything in between.
Together we'll explore different practices and how they can be supportive and nurturing for you and what you are experiencing. We'll create a yoga practice that integrates into your life, not just another thing to check off your todo list.
I believe body and mind are strongly connected and work together in amazing ways. Through the practice of yoga, we get to work with all the layers of who we are, reconnect with the different parts of ourselves and rebuilding a sense of trust in ourselves.
I also bring a trauma-sensitive approach to yoga therapy, which is rooted in understanding the impact of trauma on the body and using yoga practices to restore our own power.
