30 mins. private 1 on 1 beginner/gentle yoga
Join me as we go through a yoga flow and I will teach you yoga poses in easy to understand steps. Fun, Relaxing, Invigorating, and NOT Intimidating meant for first time students, beginners and people who want a gentle yoga class. (these classes are individual classes and are not meant to be used in lieu of the migraine yoga program®)

30 mins. private 1 on 1 restorative yoga
Join me as we explore a completely different approach to what you usually think about yoga! This class is a true relaxation class where we use props to let us fully relax, poses are seated or laying down with some poses needing a wall. We do only a limited number of poses and hold them for a long duration of time and in silence mostly, to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. (these classes are individual classes and are not meant to be used in lieu of the migraine yoga program™) *required props (if you don't have the yoga props, you can use items from around your house) a bolster or large pillows, or large blanket, two yoga blocks or thick books that you can stack, a your strap or a belt

About me

I am Ashley also known as The Migraine Yogini®. I have suffered with migraines since childhood; they originally came, lasted for a period of time then I would go long stretches without them. Then, things started to change and NOT for the better. I started getting migraines more frequently, and they became more severe with the most bizarre symptoms! It was so scary at times! I got to a breaking point as these migraines were affecting every aspect of my life and I was developing stress and anxiety!
At one point...for a LONG time, I was pretty much housebound out of fear and not knowing when or the severity of my next migraine attack! And let me tell you, that is NO WAY to live, especially when you are used to being independent and free and having a great life! I went to many doctors, had many scans, etc. I don’t like taking medication for various reasons, so I was looking for a natural alternative. My Philosophy of Care

My Philosophy of care is simple, to be kind to yourself, to honor where you are and not be judgmental; but to help guide you. If you have an existing medical condition or injury, make sure your doctor approves of yoga and or breath coaching as a self-care practice. Your health is your responsibility, please take care.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

On the first visit, clients can start to feel the vibe of self compassion, self love and non judgement, to be yourself with no worries. Letting go of stress ,tension, and realizing yoga is not about bending like a pretzel but rather meeting your body where you are. Becoming comfy with yourself and recognizing what your body needs to heal, to let go of, etc. Learning to listen to your body and mind. All of this and more will continue throughout your sessions with me.

My Inspiration

I have been practicing yoga for several years and know the benefits first hand that yoga, stress relief, mindfulness and breathwork have on the mind and body. I wanted to share that with others who like me, want to minimize their migraines, anxiety and stress! I was so excited to see that there is medical research out there that is also showing the amazing effects that it has on minimizing and/or lessening migraine attacks, as well as stress and anxiety.
