As an esthetician of 15 years, I was always fascinated with the mind-body connection, especially when I experienced it first hand. Early in my skin care career I developed a bad case of acne that I never had experienced before, even as a teenager. When I realized I was doing all the "things" I should be doing to my skin (using acne products, getting facials, etc) that weren't working, I knew something deeper was going on.
When I started researching into holistic skin care and wellness, and after a lot of introspection and inner work, I realized my breakouts were from living a life that wasn't "mine", in other words, living a life I "thought" I should be living in the eyes of others, instead of accepting myself, owning my emotions and transforming through my challenges. When stress and emotions get repressed, it has to come out somewhere and its usually through the body, and in my case it was my skin.
I started hypnotherapy school as a way to learn and educate myself more and thanks to the pandemic, I "accidentally" became a hypnotherapist! (but really... there really are no "accidents" everything happens for a reason!!) and opened my own online practice. Now I have the amazing privilege to wake up every morning and help people all over the world in the comfort and safety of their own home.
First, they love the virtual sessions because the results are exactly the same and its in the safety and comfort of their own home. I usually hear that hypnosis isn't what they originally thought it was, how calm and relaxed they feel, and how it felt like they just took an 8 hour nap! Also giving them tools that they can use in between sessions are so helpful for reinforcement and getting to their goal faster!
You've been in hypnosis before, you just didn't realize thats what it was called! Its a natural state that we all go in and out of throughout the day, so its about using that heightened learning state, or "trance" to create new learning habits, behaviors and beliefs that work FOR you and not against you!
