About me

The work I do is uniquely tailored to each client. It is challenging, uplifting, and will change your life! I am 100% invested in the wellbeing of my clients and if you're ready and willing to make a lifestyle change, we may be the perfect fit!

The work I do is rooted in life-long personal experience and mastered through formal and informal trainings. I believe the only way to truly help heal others is to heal self-- I call this the Oxygen Mask Theory.

I experienced digestive issues as a newborn baby, which has impacted my ability to eat and digest certain foods. I was diagnosed with asthma, other respiratory issues, chronic migraines and a list of other health challenges, which impacted my view of myself and my mental health. I understand what it feels like to want so badly to feel better and yet be stuck in the cycle of perpetual ill.

With the digestive issues, body image challenges, and many pounds of weight gain and weight loss, I have experienced fatigue, mood swings, pre-occupations with food and exercise, low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. The thoughts that took over my mind for so long were, “I’m not good enough. I’m not pretty enough, thin enough, healthy enough, fit enough, talented enough, fill-in-the-blank enough…”

I reclaimed my health in my mid 20s. I gained my sanity in my 30s. I decided to find which foods, types of movement, mental health exercises, and spiritual experiences worked for me, in my life. I began to reframe my thoughts and focus on what IS ENOUGH for me, in my life. I decided to let go of negativity, and welcome positivity in order to grow- through the good and “bad” times. Because of my past struggles, I have been on a journey to help others to repair their health; physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.

I have a Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Services (M.Ed.) and a Specialist Degree in School Psychology (Ed.S.). With this education, I am able to understand human behavior and intellectual/cognitive abilities. I have worked in community mental health, school counseling, private practice, and a psychiatric hospital.

I have an Eating Psychology Coach certification from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. This certification provides an additional element to mental health that is more holistic in nature. This type of coaching identifies what may not be working well in your life; eating challenges, fatigue, immune disruption, mood issues, unwanted weight gain/loss, and more. Together we will focus on effective wellbeing strategies, re-gain your health, and co-create a plan to re-ignite your zest for life.

I receive on-going trainings and earn certifications in areas that most impact my clients: Mindfulness, Focusing, Creating Conscious Relationships, Building a Healthy Immune System, and more.

When working with individuals or organizations I take a holistic approach and consider the many aspects of health and wellbeing. I hope to hear from you!
