I felt so much better physically, Emotionally and spiritually after my Qigong session!
Let there be milk is AMAZING! The taste is a little rough but the results are so worth it! It took a couple of days but I am now producing so much more. My baby is 4 weeks old today. I pumped over 5 ounces at 6 this morning and another 4.5 at 1. Two days ago the most I could get was 2.5 ounces. So thrilled with the results!
Maria and her apprentice Meg provided excellent care prior to and during the birth of our daughter. We are very happy with our decision to use Birthsong Midwifery and would highly recommend that others do as well. As a medical professional I was impressed with all aspects of the care provided. They exhibited a high level of knowledge and professionalism at all times.

Live Online Group Qigong Session
Welcome, mystics, healers, guardians, and alchemists! Join us Tuesday, 10 am- 11:30 am Central Time. All classes are recorded. Every participant will receive the recording. In Qigong, we move as nature, in a flow that opens up lines of communication with the parts of ourselves that need attention, love, and compassion. The energy of life moves through us as frequency, revealing truths. The wisdom of our bodies speaks these truths not in words but in sensations. To hear her messages, we have to slow down and become still and quiet.

About me

Maria Chowdhury
Midwife, Herbalist, Qigong Practitioner, and Temple Guide

My twenty years as a homebirth midwife, herbalist, meditator, and martial artist has prepared me to hold potent medicine and sacred space.

I midwife spiritual women in the midst of powerful life transitions and support them to navigate the trail ahead to stay aligned with their essence and connect to their power even in times of uncertainty and confusion.

As a temple guide, I hold sacred space for the extraordinary and arduous experience of birth and transformation to unfold safely and organically.

During this journey, I’m bringing forth the teachings of my mentor Teresa Elder who taught me how to “be” a midwife with a smile and light heart full of humor. My mentor, Dr. Claire Zammit, who taught me the Feminine Power framework, and Elayne Kalila of Priestess Presence, showed me how to walk as a temple guide in the modern world. And finally, my beloved taiji and qigong teachers who are too numerous to mention here.

The Path with Harmony sanctuary is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and is directly on the Trail of Tears that the Cherokee walked.

My daily hikes are on the earth path of Mount Kessler, the ancestral lands of the Caddo and Osage peoples, and I intend to honor them, their sacred lands, and medicine.

My Philosophy of Care

What if there is nothing wrong with you? What if you were already whole and nothing needs to be fixed?
Instead of fixing you, we are removing the blockages that are in between you and your essence.

What You Can Expect On Your First Visit

Your first online Qigong session is free.

Our weekly qigong sessions intentionally hold space for small groups that feel like personal ceremonies.

We gather and practice together in an intimate container of safety. Before we begin, we give space to voice what needs to be witnessed, moved, to be made into medicine. Then we'll choose the Qigong forms that best fit the group's needs that day so that every woman present will be nourished by this unique combination of Qigong forms for the session

My Inspiration

I walk the simple wise woman path of love and compassion. The wise woman is not a healer. He/she is a medicine maker and a way-shower. From my lens, the life force energy (qi) is the healer. I simply teach grounded daily practices to help you find your center and be in right relation with everything around you.

Cycle Relief Herbal Menstrual Support tincture works wonders. It helps with the bleeding, painful period cramps and hormonal mood that come with your period. https://www.birthsongbotanicals.com/products/cycle-relief-tincture

I am not an acupuncturist but this is just my opinion. Acupuncture is great for pain! It frees up the blockages of energy that could be causing the pain. So wherever the energy goes, the blood is able to go. Once you free up the energy with acupuncture, you are freeing up space for the blood to flow through there.

Taiji is a form of qi gong. Taiji is a martial art. Both of them are ways to cultivate and manifest energy in your body. However, qi gong is not a martial art. So learning qi gong will be more simple than learning taiji and you'll feel the qi immediately. Practicing taiji requires a large commitment of time to learn the forms and to learn the martial applications. With qi gong anybody can do it at any time, anywhere. This is only my perspective, I hope this gives you some clarity.

I utilized Birth Song for both her midwifery & herbal products. Both are exceptional. I trust her herbal products just like I trusted her with my prenatal care, labor & delivery & postpartum care. As a midwife Maria knows what a woman’s body needs. All the herbal products have been a staple in our medicine cabinet and we use them often as a family. I especially enjoyed her products geared towards postpartum & breastfeeding like the postpartum herbal bath, Nurtured Mother Tincture & Let there be milk. They helped my body recover from birth & helped boost my milk supply while breastfeeding. Love all their products!
I am currently expecting and in my 3rd trimester. I am absolutely LOVING the Lady In Waiting Tea. I don’t even have to add any honey or sugar to it. It tastes amazing just the way it is. I can’t wait to try all my other goodies I got for after my baby makes his debut.
Birth Song Botanicals makes such wonderful tinctures for my littles! I’ve enjoyed having them take their Respiratory blend and Tranquility blend. As for myself. The Women’s Balance tea has been a great blessing. I’m so impressed with their customer service and products.
