Neurological Bodywork Treatment
Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex therapy (P-DTR) is a neuromusculoskeletal therapy that works to help unlock patterns of held compensation and sensitivities. It treats the body on a neurological level. The treatment addresses discomfort or dysfunction that often lasts after even after tissue has healed. Using this approach, P-DTR, I assess an individual’s proprioception from an injury by observing muscle changes. Once identified, treatment involves the stimulation of specific nerves along with the deep tendon reflex to return the body back to health. The assessment and treatment is non-invasive and individuals often notice immediate change during treatment or within 48 hours. P-DTR treatment is effective in addressing many conditions including chronic pain, lower back pain, headaches, tendonitis, sciatica, chondromalacia patellae, adhesive capsulitis, post-operative pain, TMJ disorder, and digestive disorders.
