I was having major jaw pain. I went to the dentist twice, and all they could recommend was to have a custom mouth guard made. After about 40 minutes of work from Darren, the pain was 100% gone and never came back. He also noticed that my jaw was miss-aligned and sent me to see a chiropractor associate of his. I made an appointment a few days later and he corrected my jaw. Pain was and still is gone. He is a excellent practitioner and I have recommended him to several people already.

Thanks to Darren and his passion for this healing art, my husband is free of pain in his feet after 8 years of debilitating discomfort! Recently retired, we both felt that the plan to be active in golf and to travel was not going to happen. We were restricted from sight-seeing since he could not walk very far before he couldn’t walk at all. The pain was really unbelievable and unbearable at times. A friend’s father had been suffering with hand pain and she reported that after he saw Darren for treatment that he was free from pain and using his hands again. We had nothing to lose, because nothing had worked or even helped, including traditional podiatry, orthopedics, orthotics, x-rays, MRIs. I am a dedicated, caring professional who strives to give the best service possible and achieve a 100% customer satisfaction record. I was an engineer before becoming an acupuncturist, and I use my problem solving skill set with my scientific orientation to constantly increase the effectiveness of my medicine. I am always learning and researching to be a better practitioner. I have combined a number of non-standard acupuncture methods that can give nearly instant results. I pride myself on my gentle needling and my ability to explain what and why we are going to do to any patient before treatment. My number one goal is to put the patient at ease and give them a comfortable relaxing experience with great results. I believe medicine is a service industry and know that I work for you. I first started going to Darren Holman in June of 2012 for right shoulder pain that had gotten so bad that I could not sleep on my right side any longer. Since I am a side-sleeper, it was getting harder and harder to get a good night’s sleep. In the previous year, I went to a orthopedic specialist who gave me a cortisone shot which worked for about 7-8 weeks, but literally kept me awake for the first 7 days. Needless to say, 7 days with no sleep made the decision easy to not have a steriod shot again. I followed that up with about 12 weeks of physical therapy, with very little relief from the pain. A friend recommended acupuncture and specifically recommended Darren. I was definitely skeptical but since the pain was so bad, I thought I had nothing to lose. Darren was very friendly and made me feel at ease immediately. He explained that it may take a few treatments before I felt substantial relief. I did feel some relief at the first visit for a few days, but the pain returned. I went back for two more visits and after the third visit, the pain disappeared completely. For the first time in about 5 years, I was able to sleep on my right side with absolutely no pain. I have continue to have almost no pain at all in my right shoulder. Darren made a believer in acupuncture out of me! I highly recommend Darren. You will find him very personable and very caring!

Acupuncturists, like dentists, accountants, hair stylists and everything else, are NOT created equal. Darren Holman, (L.Ac., MAOM) taught me that after one session. I had tried acupuncture before, in a few different states and for different issues. Darren was the second acupuncturist I saw in Charlotte and I’m never changing! One visit and not only did I feel great but I understood exactly what he was doing and why. I see Darren as needed for what I term ‘maintenance’ but what would be more accurately described as great improvement. Each visit balances out fifty plus years of stress, injuries and natural wear and tear. Darren is simply the best!
